Many things in our world are changing. We are living in a time of a great awakening.
Do you feel it?
A lot of people are becoming more aware of issues and practices that have lasted for a long time, but need to change. After all, change is the only constant. Many people want to take their lives back into their own hands and escape the model imposed by society in order to really know happiness and live the life they truly want to live – not one dictated by television, magazines, movies, social media, and all kinds of meaningless clichés that aren't real.
As human beings become more aware, Mother Earth also awakens and calls to those who will listen. More and more people, newspapers, and blogs are spreading the truth about various industries that have taken, taken, taken from Mother EArth, but have never given back. This is not sustainable and is unhealthy for us. These systems need a complete overhaul to even be a little bit sustainable. Truthfully, we need to go beyond sustainability to rejuvenation.
Many people are ready to hear their own truths, and become who they are meant to be. There is a willingness to change on an individual level, which will bring about change on a community and global level. As consciousness grows, the meaning of life changes for each person, which facilitates an awakening in others.
Make no mistake. Change can be difficult!
I’m sure if you look back at your own life, you’ll find times when you were bold and brave, which brought about a change. This awakening will happen whether you want it to or not. It is your choice whether you flow with the change that must happen, or go kicking and screaming into an awakening. If you find change difficult, look to Mother Earth. She is a master change artist. Look at the wondrous colors of fall!
As you begin to awaken, you may find that your inner critic and your inner wise woman are at odds with each other, and your family and friends don’t understand what you’re going through. Hold fast to your heart. While your mind and ego can play tricks on you, your heart will never lie. Always follow your heart and intuition, and stay clear of the negativity of others.
When I was in my 20’s, I was a lot less worried about the outcome of anything I did. Consequently, I lived in the Caribbean for a while and then in a teepee in Northern New Mexico.
The world was my oyster, and I took big bites of it.
The only constant is change, and it is not in our nature to stay safe and small. If we do not push ourselves, our lives can never expand beyond our anger and frustrations of smallness. Being stuck, stifled, stressed, and trapped serves no one, least of all YOU!
