Heather has been drawing and painting for more than forty years. It all began as a young girl in nursery school. Her pictures were prolific and showed her love of the world from people to nature. Encouragement was never lacking at home with trips to art museums, the zoo, countless camping trips, travel, and an unending bookshelf of adventures, along with endless reams of computer paper, colored pencils, crayons, and paints at her fingertips. “I was never lacking for inspiration. I would spend hours in my room listening to the creative spirits as they guided me to create the world as I saw it. I lost all track of time. There was not a free space on the refrigerator!”
“We moved a lot when I was a kid, bringing out a wanderlust in me, but the one constant in my life was always my artwork.” With this gypsy spirit taking her to the island of St. Maarten in the Caribbean and to Taos, New Mexico, Heather continued to hone her skills as an artist and the new cultures began to manifest themselves in her paintings.
Now, Heather has come full circle with her current artwork. The little curly headed girl is “all growed-up” (on the outside), but she continues with the passion that started it all—painting the spirits that inhabit this incredible world.
